About us

Born from the friendship of Chicken Lea, Hurdle Lea, and Mike Shuler, Smoke on the Water spent nearly two decades as a fixture in Downtown Greenville—serving up delicious BBQ and upscale Southern dishes, live music, and hospitality with heart.

Now, we’re proud to open our next chapter at 64 Beacon Drive. Every inch of our new location was carefully curated by Mike and the team—from the rustic Southern details to expanded kitchen space and a layout designed with both our dine-in guests, private parties, and catering clients in mind.  Our new home also includes an outdoor space designed to feel like a relaxed oasis—complete with live music, casual seating, and room for families to gather. With thoughtful landscaping, lighting, and a seamless connection to the bar, it’s a natural extension of the Smoke experience.

The address may have changed, but the soul of Smoke remains the same.
